This October, join the Sustainability Team at the Sisters of St. Joseph in Brentwood for a full day of hands-on ecological work, meaningful connection, and communion with nature. The morning will begin with an ecological discussion of the day’s project: removing invasive plants, planting natives, and spreading seeds in East Leach Meadow. Volunteers will build upon last fall’s progress and work alongside the Sustainability Team to continue this restoration. Attendees should be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing that can get dirty. Lunch and conversation will be provided for all participants, followed by a walking tour of the campus. The Sustainability Team will discuss their ongoing projects and the diverse ecotones found on the Brentwood campus. All are welcome to attend one or all portions of the event. Those joining us for lunch must register in advance.
