Volunteer
We welcome organizations, groups, families, and individuals to volunteer in our greenhouse and nursery yard. It’s a great way to learn more about Long Island’s native plants and to assist in our efforts to preserve our native plant heritage for future generations!
Volunteer Days are Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (except holidays) from 10 AM - 2 PM.
Please let us know if you are coming by signing up at the link below.
Volunteer activities are seasonal and generally include:
Winter: Seed cleaning and seed stratification & scarification
Spring: Setting up outdoor nursery yard & up-potting seedlings
Summer: Up-pot plants, weeding & work in the Founders Plot
Fall: Harvesting seeds from the Founders Plot & seed cleaning
